If you thought you needed hours of planning and tons of resources to make your first couple dollars online you must have never hear of FIVERR! Fiverr is a great online marketplace where you can sell any, really ANY (you can find people making money singing happy birthday with their dog) skill or quirk! When you sell on fiverr the service/product you're selling is known as a Gig.

How to get Started on Fiverr:

  • Create an account, go to and click "JOIN" in the top right corner.
  • Create a Gig, after you login follow these steps:
    • Place your mouse over your username and click My Sales > Create a Gig
      (Note: If this is your first time creating a Gig, place your mouse over your username and click My Sales > Start Selling and then Create a Gig.)
    • In the Gig Title field, write a title (max 80 characters, brief and to the point).
    • In the Category drop-down menu, select the category and then subcategory for your Gig.
      (For categories with cover images upload, JPEG, 1100 x 260 px, 2 MB max, & you must own the copyrights)
    • In the Gig Gallery field, click Browse and select an image.
      (image formats JPG, JPEG, or PNG, min size 550 x 370 px, 5 MB max, you must own the copyrights)
    • In the Description field, write a description of your Gig 1,200 characters max.
      (If using URL, only include URLs from the approved list).
    • In the Gig Metadata area, enter Metadata (only available with some categories)
    • In the Tags field, enter min 3 tags/keywords to describe your gig.
    • In the Duration drop-down menu, enter the days it will take to complete the gig.
    • In the Instructions for Buyers field, enter the details you need from the seller to complete the gig.
    • Click Save & Continue
